ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze any changes in the functional connectivity between the seed points of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and the whole brain, as well as any fluctuations in the low-frequency amplitude among persons with post-stroke depression (PSD). The aim was to develop correlations among functional imaging results, clinical scales, and inflammation indicators including high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 2 (IL-2), interleukin 10 (IL-10), interleukin 17a (IL-17a) and interferon-γ (IFN-γ).Methods:Between 2016 and 2020, 55 ischemic stroke survivors were tested. The 28 scoring 7 or more on the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD-17) formed the PSD group, while the 27 others formed the control group. Functional magnetic resonance images were collected, and serum inflammation indicators were determined. Results:When seed points in the left DLPFC were used, in the PSD group the frontal cortex (FC) decreased in one cluster, with a voxel of 129mm3 and the MNI coordinates (x=9, y=30, z=33) indicating that the anatomical automatic labeling (AAL) brain regions were the Cingulum_Ant_L, Cingulum_Mid_R and the frontal_Sup_Medial_L. When the right DLPFC was used as the seed point the FC again decreased in one cluster, with voxels of 44mm 3 and the MNI coordinates (x=-27, y=12, z=47) referring to the AAL brain region of the frontal_Mid_L. In the PSD group, the FC value of abnormal brain areas with the R-DLPFC as the seed point was positively correlated with time since stroke. In the control group, the FC value of abnormal brain areas with L-DLPFC as the seed point was negatively correlated with MoCA, while with R-DLPFC as the seed point it was positively correlated with IFN-γ. The FC values of abnormal areas of the brain showed no significant correlation with other clinical scales, inflammation indicators or lesion volume. Conclusion:Abnormal functional connections within the executive control network and between the salience networks may participate in the mechanism of PSD, and may be related to the time since stroke, cognitive functioning, and IFN-γ levels.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational use of oral drugs in pediatrics department.METHODS:The prescriptions of oral medication for 1 070 children with respiratory diseases selected from pediatrics outpatient department of our hospital during Jan.2015-Dec.2016 were analyzed retrospectively in terms of drug category, use frequency, the rationality of drug use and prescription standardization, etc.RESULTS:Among 1 070 children,0-1 and 2-5 years of age accounted for 26.45% and 37.76%,taking up the highest proportion.Among main types of disease, mnsillitis and bronchitis accounted for 48.60% and 15.42%,taking up the highest proportion. The frequencies of antibiotics,Chinese patent medicines (medicines for the treatment of cough and asthma) and adjuvant drugs were in high level, being 51.78%,27.85%,28.79%.Among antibiotics, the frequencies of penicillins+β-lactamase inhibitor and second-generation cephalosporins were in high level, being 43.74%,40.84%.The rate of rational drug use was 92.51%,and that of irrational drug use was 7.85%.Irrational drug use manifested as excessive number of drugs (2.34%),excessive large dose (2.06%),irrational dosage form (2.24%) and irrational antibiotics use (5.05%).The rate of standard prescription was 91.31%,and the rate of nonstandard prescription was 8.69%.Nomtandard prescription manifested as nonstandard prescription writing.CONCLUSIONS:In the statistical period, common oral drugs for the children with respiratory systemn disease in the pediatrics outpatient department of our hospital are antibiotics,Chinese patent medicines (medicines for the treatment of cough and asthma) and adjuvant drags. The rationality of drug use and prescription standardization are generally good;but there are still some irrationality in the number of drugs, dosage form, dose and the use of antibiotics;prescription writing problems still exist.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of scalp-body acupuncture plus psychological intervention in treating post-stroke depression.Method Seventy-eight patients with post-stroke depression were divided into a treatment group (40 cases) and a control group (38 cases). In addition to ordinary neurological treatments, the treatment group also received scalp-body acupuncture plus psychological intervention while the control group also received Fluoxetine hydrochloride (Prozac). The interventions were given once a day, 4 weeks as a treatment course, for 2 courses in total. Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAMD) and neurological impairment severity scale (NISS) were observed before intervention, after 1 treatment course and at the end of the intervention.Result After intervention, the HAMD and NISS scores dropped significantly in both groups, and the treatment group was markedly better than the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rates of anti-depression and recovery of neurological function in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Scalp-body acupuncture plus psychological intervention can produce a content efficacy in improving depression and recovering neurological function.
